im not an expert on bikes and was wondering if i put a 70cc bore kit on my stock aerox with only a sports exhaus, would it blow it up or cause any damage?? and i was wonderin if it would really make it any faster? i was wonderin if u have to also upgrade the carb to see any actually improvements? thanks for any adive guys! cheers
shouldnt blow up with a decent brand like polini or malossi just make sure u upjet your carb to allow more fuel through, use good decnent oil and warm it up thoroughly in the mornings, and yea you would notice a difference in acceleration but not a lot in top end you need a longer transmision if you want more top speed dec
cheers for the info mate. would say a 70cc bore kit from scooter attack fit straight into my aerox??(obviously if ive put in for aerox parts) and wats up jetting??lol cheers
tbh i'd go get a shop to supply and fit a 70cc bore kit if i was you..... would be around 150 i reckon and get a reputable brand too, and run it in and look after it. if you look after something it will last alot longer....
is it very hard to do it urself is it?? ive taken off my old 1 with abit of ease really doesnt look too complicated but im not an expert. just on a budget ya know!
Mechanics get paid money..because being able to rebuild/fix something is a skill..although some people think its ok to charge bump price for there 'skill' Theres plenty of info on the net of how to fit a 70 kit..search
yh i think the best way to learn how to do it is by..........doing it! lol ive got plenty of ppl to help if i get stuck so.
ya know u can get ur original cylinder bored out,and get a new piston to go in it, how much can u get it bored out by?? i was wonderin?? i heard its only by a little. i thought u could get like an original 50cc barrel thing bored out to like 70cc but sum one told me it can only be bored by a few cc?? im just wonderin if anyone on here knows more than i do cheers
really not worth it mate power gains would be pathetic compared to the hassle, just buy a polini sport and a bigger carb sum harder clutch springs lighter rollers and you wont be dissappointed
thanks for the advice mate, i probably will do all of that but the thing is ive got to either get a bigger barrel and piston( get it bored out) or get a entirely new barrel and piston anyways because were it over heated shards of metal have come off and taken chunks out of the original piston and inside barrel. so u see my prediciment?? cheers
you probs just on about a re-hone. but wont repair a fucked barrel. just get a new one if has lost lumps out of it and shit. also give the cases and where ever a good clean out before rebuilding make sure no bits of metal inside.
yh will do that thanks. so do ya reckon i shud just stick with a 50cc barrel thing?? ive seen ones on scooter attack for a yam aerox like polini ones that are 50s that look good, will they just fit straight onto mine like the old one and unlike if i got a 70cc one im guessin i wudnt have to do any jetting or anythin?? i read on another thread thing that u soak the whole cylinder in oil or somethin?? can i have abit of advice on wat to do plz? thanks very much for the help! cheers
well ever barrel is different so every barrel will need slight jetting tinkering. 70cc is best power to pound mod their is really so if you was going to do it best time now. and yeah is best to smear the cylinder in oil when fitting.
