    Hi,

    Can anyone give there advice?

I am just putting a 70 Nakaru bore kit on my sons generic get 50 and along with the bore kit I am also installing a 19mm carb.
It already has a different exhaust and air filter.

My question is, could you suggest the starting point for the jetting on the card

    Many thanks

19mm carb might be a little big, but, as a general rule of thumb with jetting, get a couple of packs of jets upto about 100/105, start at the biggest and work down til you hit the right one. Keep it on the rich side, do regular plug chops to keep an eye on the colour, a nice dark ginger is about right.
If you go too lean you run the risk of seizing the piston.
Also, the Naraku 70 kit isn't a big performer in the overall stakes of tuning things.
And if I was you, I would fit the kit first, run it in properly for about 300 miles without exceeding 30/35 mph, with the standard air filter on it, then fit the carb, new filter and re-jet.

    Thanks for you advise

One issue I do have is that I can't get the revs low enough on idle.

I am running a 100 main at the moment until I have it up and running better.

Any ideas why I can't reduce the reva lower?

Put the circlip on the carb slide needle in the middle position.
Make sure there is slack in the throttle cable, so the carb slide goes all the way down firstly.
Take the air filter off, look down the intake to make sure, then screw the idle screw in until it starts to lift the slide.
Should be idling at about 1200rpm. ish.
100 main jet is waaaay too big. Should be in the 80's somewhere. Normally.
