Hey, I installed Athena 70cc big bore kit to my piaggio zip 50 and ive heard different storys about running in/breaking in the kit. I've heard for the first 20-50 miles the bike may bog at certain parts of throttle a little. Is this true someone give me more information please!

ive always been told with alloy kits give it 3 heat cycles then 20 min ride going calm

ive never followed that though i just do heat cycles then i always thrash as soon as it leaves the back gate

and ive never had a problem with an alloy cylinder :)

The run in of the kit should not make your engine bog otherwise it isnt tuned properly. Running in only allow for the surface of the piston and cylinder to offer a more efficient "seal" for the engine mixtures/compression. The surfaces compatibility will allow for longer life of the engine, better power output and better fuel eficiency.
