Didn't know which one to post this in but hopefully this is the right one Basically, I've decided to go 70 because tuning my 50 rox is proving to be very hard. Reliability is the main thing that I need, but obviously a quick kit would be nice. Wondering which to go for, I've heard the Malossi sport and the Polini sport have quite a bit to offer, just wondering if there's any other's up there. I'm gonna be running it with a Hebo Performer. Realistically, I wanna just bolt a kit on and change the main jet, etc. I'm not up for changing crank and spending loads on it so the kit can't be too powerful. Everyone's help and opinion's are much appreciated.
I've done a bit of research and Polini sport is more for bottom end grunt, whereas Malossi sport is more top end? am I right?
i would say to look at mhr rep as i have HAD one of these in the past and was quite happy with it , only cost a 10er lol,, but nah it was quite good and relible for the time i had one!
Depends what you really want. i know the polini sport has got lower end grunt as ive got it and i would deffiantly recommend. as the malossi has the has better top speed.
incredibly similar.. polini has a better piston. slightly. but ye, prity similar to each other, polini has more bottom as the ports are a little tidier out the box than the malossi, id go polini, and have had good results doing so
Polini it will be, but will the gearing need raising? and standard carb with bigger main jet, would it work? Gonna have to sort out fitting from a garage aswell, I wouldn't trust myself doing it.
you dont have to raise the gearing if you dont want to, yes upjetting the std carb is fine... and yes probably a good idea if your no good with the tools
