Ok so if I bang a 70 kit into my 50 Its now no longer classed as a 50cc vehicle. I have a full uk driving licence with a moped entitlement, and also I have my CBT which allows me to ride anything up to 125cc so long as I display L plates on anything over 50cc right?

How many of you just ride on a CBT or have your full bike licence? I would go for my full bike licence but I just cant afford to do it.

Im wondering if its going to be worth all the hassle of putting a 70 kit in.

no hassle at all really , most people dont even register it as a 70 when they put the kit on , wnt crank up the insurance if u dnt tell them , im not sure if this would affect your insurance in a crash because the enigine numbers wil be the same im not sure how far they look in2 the bike, mot'ers dont check or bother with checking ( file of the 70cm2 on the cylinder just in case )

well if you have a cbt your allowed up to a 125.

so if you want to stay legal, just declare your mods to the insurance company.

I would have to display L plates then wouldnt I? Cant be arsed with that. Plus my bike is very "minimalist" so it would be an arse to attach them anyway.

I think i just wont bother telling them, seems like the easier option!
