Hi everyone, my aerox has a 17.5mm carb, polini reeds, a doppler s3r pipe and some port work on the exhaust port (to enlarge it to a circular shape instead of the semicircle).

The bike runs really well and a plug chop and full throttle shows a brown plug but this is with a 90 main jet! This is what came with it, i tried an 86 that i had lying around but it was too lean.

Before i have had an import 4 stroke with a 80cc kit, most people use a 90 jet in these but mine ran well with a 102, so i think maybe its just because im at sea level?

I just want to make sure really, the bike doesnt seem to have any air leaks but maybe theres a common air leak on a high mileage aerox? (21,000 miles). It pretty annoying how it absolutely drinks petrol, and from what i have read most people would have a 68-75 jet with my setup o_O

    Thanks

Plug chops are a completely useless way to work out jetting. This has been said many times before. Use our carb guide and try and jet it via feel.

So 90 is works well for you? Is that with an airbox?

And terro, i have tried an 86 jet and it ran worse ie. losing revs/power at full throttle compared to at say, 3/4 throttle.

    i dont get it

if your bike runs really well with a 90 main jet then happy days why change anything about it?

fuel consumption of a 17.5mm with be shit as compared to the standard 12mm anyways its just the way it goes

Yeah for a car it is :p

Just didn't expect it to use so much with just the carb and pipe

but if you ported the exhaust manifold it will use more as soon as the standard carb and standard exhuast are gone then all efficancy is gone
