the bit of the carb that go's in the inlet, not that but the bigger step that sits just behind it.. drill it at the tip in the middle of this big step.. take the old pipe fitting out of your old carb and messure it.. use a slightly smaller drill bit and hammer it home.

u talkin bout the step up on the right hand side yea cos currently im using the nipple thats where the reedblock is and i recall you saying somewhere this isnt best place and if i dont use that nipple should i block it up? as im not sure what its there for on my old engine it didnt have one
    thanks

with vac fittings, under the reedblock is an alternating positive and negative charge (sucking and blowing) befor the reedblock (as in on the carb) is a straight vacumm (just sucks) so yes the reedblock is used for the fuel pump as its alternating neg/pos and the fuel tap needs a straight vac to open, using an alternating fitting will kill a fuel tap verry quickly as its continuiously opening and closing wiht every cycle of the engine.. you can install a one way valve however the best way is to block the fitting not used and install the one missing...

in answer to your question yes that is the part of the carb you drill.. same place as on the 25 normally
