28mm carb problems

hi i have two pipes from my petrol tank and i just wanted to check that i have the smaller of the 2 in the right place

is it the nipple below the petrol nipple

there should be 2 pipes coming from your tank 1 will be the petrol pipe and the other one will be a vacuum pipe if your carb hasnt got a place for ur vacuum pipe you can can suck it fold it overthen cable tie it so it keeps ur petrol flowing or do it the other way and drill ur petrol tap so it feeds constantly (the vacuum pipe opens a valve in ur petrol tap so petrol will come out when air is drawn through it)

 

you can buy gravity fed petrol taps aswell, that would be your best option coz otherwise it will be a bit bodgey. have a look on scooter-attack they got the taps and a little thing that lets you stop the flow so you dont flood your engine.

so how would i install these to me it looks like its just a case of cutting the petrol tube at some point and just stick this in
what happens with the vacuum pipe after this is installed?

the pipe wot sits under the reedblock on the cases cut that fit a t piece then connect the vacum from the pump into that

 

oh i see so that just goes in where the old filter went in cheers people
