lol. come on minor, you of all people should know there are many people out there who just can't grasp things even as simple as the above. im sure youve had many PMs and emails with such questions
some dtrs and tzrs have flatty 28's as standard can pick them up off ebay under 20 knicker shhhh!!!!! trade secret LOL
mikuni flatslides are the ones to go for.. its what koso/bgm/stage 6 copy badly.. might aswell buy one from ebay.. fitted to cr/rm 80's.. rd125's among other things
hmm, plot thickens.. mabey an aftermarket/replacemnt carb as mine an the other couple 87's i know of have mikuni's... unless its the holeshot thing...
Just stick with the 25mm you cant go wrong always work well...? I dont realy see the point of running anything over a 25mm unless you are racing or just want a realy high bhp road scooter the 25mm works a treat and are easy to set them up right.
Harder to setup and get right and will drink a lot more fuel so in the long run a 25mm will pay off fuel wise...But i supose if money is an issue go ahead. And the amount of people that have gone down the 28mm carb route then decide to go back the the 25mm cos they never work right is unreal seen it a million times as i am sure you have urself minor?
not really tbh... ive never really seen a 25 set up right, everybody i know who upped from a 25 to a 28 loved it i know what your sayin, there a good all round carb, but im too used to running them on 70's now it just seems too small for such a big piston LOL
an aquantance of mine called dickhead183initmanzrunnercruzezat120initoiconyugot17'znowinit who bought the yellow runner, you might now it James? built by JB tuning. He had a 28mm and went down to 25 or 26 because he said it was just drinking too much with the 28mm but was quicker with it on. But apparently that was pumping out around 26bhp.
