my standard 12mm carb was sticking the other day.

for some reason, if i turned the idle up a bit, it would stick and couldn't throttle it, if i unscrewed it the tiniest bit it would unstick and be fine, but it would idle pretty low, so i don't really know how i can put the idle up now :wtf:

throttle cable trapped or not routed properly...

turning the steering should not affect the throttle cable at all...

must be grit or something getting past your air filter into the carb...

I would hazard a guess your running an open filter ;)

if its a sponge type filter and not oiled, fine particles of dust/grit will penetrate
    the pores of the sponge!!

probably the pip in the wall of the carb.. its ether nylon or metal. push it back in the carb from the outside, if it is all the way in and still sticking then you need to replace this lil bit. find a dellorto carb stockist... (bell a webber shop an they will usually grunt and give you a number)

my derbi one used to stick open, turned out it was freezing, i made a duct from the exhaust to get the hot air around it, worked a charm.
