im thinking about getting a malossi 210 kit for my dna and... actually no, no ive decided not to. any experience with these kit shared would still be helpful though
there ok, but you really need a cam/valve springs/cdi to complement them.. could retro fit 200 parts or even an entire engine at a 5th of the cost...
cheers minor, good advice there only thing is there was never a 200cc dna, but i suppose i could get a 180 barrel / carb for not too much money!
doesent have to be a dna.. theres an air colled and a wc.. theres also a 2v head and a 4v head. not sure what is what but aslong as you use the same it shouldent matter. (im pritty sure you can convert the 2v into 4v's tho)
nah never was an air cooled dna, not even the 50 :nerd: its a 4v engine anyway and even the 210 kits use the same head as standard, though im not sure how.... anyway, ill be looking for a 180cc barrel + piston + carb now...
speaking of DNAs does anyone know if they made a 125 2 stroke one? and minor im thinkin about getting a DNA but i heard the way they are built is SHIT! :nerd: and not to mention that the majority of them are four strokes.. :eh:
nope they never made a 125 2stroke one....unless u build one ur self personally i wouldnt bother with a dna...i had the dna50 which was shit hot but the 125 is terribly slow...so ive been told...stick to your typh man....typhs are shit hot
I'm Getting A 210 Kit For My Dna When My Pug Is Finished And Everything Else Gonna Race My Mates 172 Runner
A standard 200 or 180 4 stroke top end can be fitted onto a 125 leader motor. I was going to have a second hand 180 top end fitted on mine but went for the 210 as I thought I would just end up wanting one after fitting the 180! Don't expect 172 like power off the line, but it does make a huge improvement to top end and mid range. It needs to be fitted with the gear up or it will rec the engine to bits and you won't gain any top end at all. Dave
my dna is not slow, got 77 mph on the flat on the way back from work yesterday pull away is EXACTLY the same as an xr125. they are heavier than most due to bigger frame ect, but make up for it by being thinner and thus having smaller air resistance :nerd:
any ideas how much a vxr200 engine would be? cant find one and heard crap things about 210 kits cheers
depends really what comes up on ebay you can bolt a 180 barrel piston and head to a 125 for more power though
This 210 seems to have plenty of poke. Says it's just the kit he whacked on aswell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU1ho5R6B10 Wheelies it ffs
someone told me they burn like a litre of oil every few weeks and not uncommon for them to go pop? want vxr back end, at least it'll last
yer a guy that owns the mintest 210 was losing half his oil every 100kms in belgium in the end he got recovery out as his top speed went down to 60
It burnt about 900ml of oil in about 500 miles (cheers for the oil btw!). Its currently being rebuilt at the moment as it was loosing top end and burning way to much oil off. This is the only problem I have had with the 210 in the last year and a half. Got me to Belgium and back last year no problems. Dave
why is it being rebuilt? with oil, four strokes really shouldn't need rebuilds, hardly a race engine eh. shit rings on them?
