Just got my 200 engine running, i noticed the belt was really slack until i tightened the variator nut... and it slips alot from standing. I cant get the clutch off it seems to be stuck on? Just got a new belt and kept the rollers in it because they looked ok, can anyone tell me what the problem could be?

remove the front pulley again and check the splines on the shaft for wear. The clutch is most likely seized on the shaft tapping with a rubber mallet works well enough for me , whilst you got it off might want to check that for wear, when you refit the clutch assembly pull the rear pulleys apart whilst twisting it a little to fit the belt down the faces , this will give yo enough slack on the cable to correctly space out and tighten the front pulley nut (unless you already rounded off the threads on the shaft or splines on the shaft leg) then you need to pay someone to fix it.

The belts brand new and all the threads are spot on.. ill take it to bits 2morrow again. On my 125s the belt has always been tight when the front pulleys off, but on this 200 the belt feels proper slack until the front pulley tightens up to it. Maybe the clutch is nackered...
