Hi, new to this forum, i use just a 50cc Peugoet TKR to and from work, as its only 15mins away, its just a workhorse, longer journeys are done on a bigger bike. Ive had it from new, fully serviced, it approaching 19000k, and recently the acceleration has died off, itll run fine, then it appears as i ride over a drain or pothole, it picks back up again??!!

Its a bit annoying to say the least, when some days it runs lovely, and other days i actively seek out a pothole to ride over, just to get up a decent speed, any ideas??

the bike is derestricted, and ive had suggestions of clutch?/variator/fuel, but no-one seems positive about it.

Just wondered if you had come accross anything like this before?

    Cheers

    Rides:
    RD350, SR125, ICE125
possibly a sticky choke, when you ride over the pothole it rattles the carb.

could be a transmission issue too, check your variator for wear and check rollers.

also if it's not had piston and rings yet then it will be about ready.

    thanks alot,

is it something i could do myself?? and no the piston and rings have not been touched, am i just better off getting a 70cc big bore kit instead???

i know the bike has done nearly 20k, and its not my main bike, but just want the old `zip` back!!!

    Cheers again
