    hey guys and girls,

James from Devon, just bought a D reg Honda Vision. It's my first foray on to two wheels having driven a car for 20 years. It's a bit of a project, no MOT, so hoping to hone my skills on this and sell it on for a 125 later down the line. Will get some pics up soon and start picking your brains for advice! Lots to do on it no parts seem very hard to come by :/

Thanks chaps, haven't even looked at modding it yet, just trying to get it through the test and looking reasonable. Got so many questions right now I don't know where to start. Will write them down as I go. Essentially the engine is sweet, just need to look at some of the wiring, got no indicators or front light. Got the brake light working but no rear light. So many of the plastic lugs on the body are broken and I reckon it's missing about 70% of all of the fastenings. Not entirely sure how it's holding together.

    Parts needed:
    Air filter
New lock and key for seat
New little U shaped bar for under the seat that goes into lock (ordered)
Plastic tray that sits under battery and goes back to form rear light mount (no idea what it's called)
    Centre stand (ordered)
    Mirrors
    Top box

Bought a Haynes manual, seems straight forward enough (Step one... disconnect battery!)

Mine is different to that in that the rear lights are mounted on a bracket. What model would tha mak mine? NB50?

Managed to fix the engine mount today, one of the bushes had fallen out so replaced it and bolted it on. My new stand arrived today but it's the wrong one. Think this one is for a met-in, whatever that is. Best place to get a Honda vision stand?

Had quite a few of these..
Good little scoots. Cheap and easy to maintain.

Do you have a picture of the stand? I have a feeling my mounts have snapped off and I need to weld new ones

Ill try to find some old pics of when me and hairyjim stripped down one of my old ones and see if it shows the stand. If not theres a scanned copy of the manual for these here - the yanks call them aeros and elites. Both pretty much the same. Should tell you where the stand goes, IIRC its the second set of holes as the engine mount goes in first. the one i have has a speedfight 100 frame grafted on so cant get pics.
