    LOL What?!

183's are 172 kits with a 55 stroke crank. If a 172 kit has been used on a 55 stroke crank before then it should have had it's ports adjusted for a 55 stroke and unless the person was a cheap stupid bastard should also have had the transfers widened to match a widened case.

Basically you really want to only be using a kit that's been used on a 55 stroke crank and a flowed case on an engine that has a 55 stroke crank and a flowed case.

if its a shiny 183 simply bolting the kit to a 52 stroke engine will probably result in the head being struck at great velocity by the piston lol. he cuts the top and bottom of the barrel and then re machines the head as to not need the spacer... meaning the kit can be up to 3mm shorter top to botom.

if however your talking about any other kit somebody's p[orted for a 55 stroke crank then yes it can be run on a 52 but the port hights will be too low at bdc and the exhaust gas will simply hit the rings/heat up the side of the piston next to the exhaust causing a heat seize...

    you know better bruv :)
