    Greetings,
I have just purchased a malossi variator and have noticed it should be mounted differently. There is a thick spacer that goes behind the ramp section (back of the variator) and therefore that ramp peice sits further down the crankshaft..when I place this on the crank it is not sitting in the spines and just spins on them cos it on the narrower part of the shaft. I have called psn where i got it from and they tell me that is correct...in that it just spins on the crank not in the spines and when all the parts are in place, variator/whims etc there will be no problem...I just feel the ramp part should be aligned on the crank so the drive comes from the crankshaft...is there anyone with more experience than confirm if this correct...
    Cheers
    Russ

Yes, that's how it fit's,a malossi variator is a waste of money on a std crank if you ask me becuase your only driving one side of the belt! I've known them to slip on the belt.
