172 run in

    dnt need 2 rub it in just full y wack all th e wayy ...jokin .lol its say on the manul u sholud ov got with your 172 says 40 to 60 minites .if its second hand dnt need 2 run in

    The way i did mine was...

    let it idle for 20-30mins

    turned it off let it cool

    then went out for a drive at quater/half throttle

    for 15/20mins

    let it cool

    rode gently from then while blapping full throttle..

    Dont follow my advice, my 172 seized.

    way i did it was

    lookl back through a couple pages of threads and find one of the hundread explinations of running in.


    get the ring end righ and you DONT run in a nicisil lined barrel :confused:
