    Hi,

I have nearly completed my ice AC 172 project running a typhoon loom, I have got everything working electrically but the engine is still running when I turn the ignition off. (everything else turns off other than the engine.

someone on here posted that it could be the auto choke wires or is it the ignition wires? the ignition wires for both bikes are the same just the other way around and I plugged the wires in the other way and all that happened was the on switch become the off and the off become the on.

    any help is appreciated!

    thanks.

My CDI unit isn't currently grounded, could that be the issue?

Look in your Haynes manual at wiring diagram, green goes from stator to cdi.

Take an earth direct from the cdi earth and touch it to the frame. If the engine dies, there's the problem.
I have an Aerox that has that problem at the moment. I can kill the engine if I earth the wire from the cdi, but not from the key.
And it has a new key and barrel and rear switch with the correct connections, so could be (in my case) a knackered cdi.......
