just fitted a 172 kit , 26mm carb 102 main jet . rest of the bike is standard.

fitted everything properly , but there seams to be alot of petrol flooding the engine and its leaking through the exhaust?

    youve flooded it ;)

if you put loads of 2t oil on the piston and bore, the excess oil shorts the spark plug out
stopping it from sparking...so when your kicking the engine over like old billy-o what your actually doing is just filling it up with excess fuel :)

take the plug out and take the vacuum pipe off for the fuel tap, kick the engine over untill no excess fuel spits out of the plug hole, dry plug off check for spark, refit along with vac pipe and try again....

sometimes youve got to keep taking the plug out and drying it off until it fires...

but if youve got no spark, that is going to need investigating!!

got it started , wasnt holding the brake LOL. but its really bogging , i put a malossi kevlar belt on 180 vari and 26mm phbh carb put a 108 to star needle on second from top, was bogging so dropped down to a 104 same again so dropped it down to 102 still same bogging out so went down to 100 jet then 98 still FUCKING bogging 95 still the same :confused:cratch:

    sounds like its transmission related...

i know on the 50/70 engines the kevlar belts need a bit of running in time before they perform to there optimum...

if it doesnt get any better i would stick the 125 variator back on just for comparison, if i remember correctly you have the spacers different on the 180 variator to the 125, if you do a search minor has covered this a few times now :)

yer i no about the spacers i moved the spacer from the back to the front, but it was the carb. stuck my old 20.5 on with airbox with 88 main jet in cos i run premix, works ok but was much better all round with the 26mm on. think im going to get a new 25mm phbl and see how it go's. ive been trying to find out the base jet settings for the 26mm phbh fs.? i got an artek oversize disk for my typhoon frpm scooter center, but i dont now how to fit it lol there was no instructions in the box :( theres and adapter but cant work out how to put it on lol. :confused:cratch:
