could be coming from the temperature sensor mate had this problem on my last kit when i fitted new gaskets, make sure its in really tight, also make sure all pipes attached to the radiator are on as tight as possible, sounds like you may have heat seized it
well from what ive been told..... dont quote me on this but if you got my gaskets then they need to be sunk in first so they dont let any of the compression out as wobbly he told me(just incase im wrong i can blame him) :w00t: and if you dont have new gaskets and they are worn in properley... i dont know :w00t:
172 can be ground an relined but only if its a slightly worn lining.. any damage to the barrewl an you might aswell buy a new one. will cost 130 ish for the work an parts minimum
well when reading this it popped into my head thtmy bike is also leaking water (i think) from my cylinder i think it must be one of the hoses not on properly cos i have to full my water up everyday lol oh yeh and when i stripped my bike it is leaking from under the oil tank i carnt be the oil can it
really but the bike still runs to be honest it has lost some power in low revs but is fast after that
if its leaking from behind the oil pump its got a fucked waterpump seal.. leave it if you fancy buying a new crank and barrel
i dont think its the water pump because i have y bike in front of me right now stripped it has no water in it then i put water in it and i was looking for the leak...... then i lift up the oil tank and i hear running water wt is that there is like a little thing where a tube is ment to be attached the only tube not attached is one that runs from where my fuel cap down shud i attached it to the thing under my oil tank plz help thanks
forget wt i said looked very closely and there is a cap covering the hole but that little cap has a slit in it and water is coming out from the top is this a tiny problem cos all i need is another cap but hope this hasnt fuked anything
heres an idea.. stop hijacking threads.. confuses me and everyone else im sure.. back to the 172 AEROX...
not bein funny, if you want help please start a thread... this ones about the orange aerox with the 172 piggy engine... all im sayin ill say the same to people askin things in your threads so no need for the :bird: is there
i apologise mate its just i need it fixed but everything is ok no need for a new thread all i need is one of them plug things you get with a 70 kit dont no where am guna find 1
put it in wanted.. the kits usually come with 2 diff shape ones so somone wil have a spare... but back on topic aerox 172 check gasgets and usual things.. may well be dead rings so comprression check.. first thing is find where the water is commin from. gasgets if new need to be put in then torqued back down once they shrink..
check that water hose then, overfill your header tank and then pull and squeeze the hoses n look for a split. there aint alot of thngs it can be so just a case of narrowing it down. and the 172 could last 10,000 miles if used on good oil and not ragged around allday, same as any part.
im guessing theres old gasget gunk on the engine still... remove the 172, clean the matting face and refit the gasget with a lil squirt of silicone smeard on the 2 joins... only enough for you to see tho, its not a sink
