    Hi,

    Would anyone know where I can buy an internal circlip with extra abutments (teeth) like this;
    circlip.jpg

    It looks like a DIN984 type except the smallest size in that standard is 16mm - mine is 12.9mm open & 12mm closed (when compressed for insertion).

    If you of a supplier that does these please let me know.

    Thx.

    only place i could think of would be a bike shop , they would have some contacts in the bike world for these things.

    what scoot/bike is this from i know the dragsters has a circlip like this but the abutments on outer ring

    I have tried car parts shops, motorbike garages & cycle shops - they only have plain circlips (those assorted boxes of 300 you get online).

    They have all stated they have no idea where to get one from... :(

    Nutters Fasteners in Birmingham will probably have them in stock

    They do 'ordinary' internal circlips but not the ones with additional teeth/tabs/abutments which I'm after - these are proving rarer than hens' teeth...

    Most brake master cylinder rebuild kits on ebay have them included (in the pictures at least) - so why can't I source one??? :mad:

    I've tried ebay, UK suppliers, Chinese suppliers, Indian suppliers - it'll be easier to make one... :confused:

    maybe better off grabbing a rebuild kit and just holding onto the other parts for a rainy day or likes ;)

    ...if only it was that easy!
    None of the ebay 'resonably priced' rebuild kit sellers say they have one for my model and they aren't able to cross reference against the kits they do sell. :mad:
    The official Yamaha kit is £30! :eek:

    I think I'll hold out to see if any breakers break a bike, as I'm sure for that amount I can get a whole good condition brake master cylinder unit. :)
