i see loads of people have 125s reg as 50 and my frame is slightly bent that i ddnt know untill i tried mot it so im going to buy star172's 58plate frame off him but its reg as 50 wont the police take it off me and hwat would they say if they caught me with it can a policeman even tell? just wana double check and how do u re-reg it as 125 and what u need?
58 plate can be transfferd over but you WILL need to prove the engine is produced befor 2003 so it adhears to the emmisions laws of that year not this year. ie it needs engine numbers. lots of messing about tbh but it is possible... without numbers it can be done, but moting and emmision law exemption may be a bit of a pain to get past depending on the mot centre as the 58 plate typh will be euro 3 compliant where as the 125 engine isnt (hence they dont make the 125 engines now) if they emmisions test it it WILL fail for its year of manufactor. its all just a big word game... most people with 50 frames claim them as 50 engines.. highly ilegal but again, its upto you what you do with your own bike.
dont want to name the company but i worked for them for work experience and they just give me an mot as long as it looks road worthy, no frame numbers, checks none of that but my ped is "legal" anyway as minor said its a lot of mucking around but is possible if you know your stuff well put ^^^ imp:
