well he says it is but i dont know tbh. i want to be sure. the coolant tank is deffinately not a 125 one. or even a 50 runner one, its about the saem size as the zipsp 50cc ones. never mind ill just buy the vx tank and rad today...

anyone know if the vx 125 rads are the same as the 2 stroke 125 ones?

    cheers.

yeah i deffinately need to remount the coolant bottle minor, its a 50cc coolant bottle aswell, but ive sourced a 125 runner one so all is good. i will try and mount it with the top of the bottle going through tha hole in the belly pan where its supposed to be, then at least it will be higher than the radiator.

50 bottle is fine and if you find an sp one it will fit in the pannels fine.. use a 125 cap just in case the blow out pressure is diff

ah right cheers m8. also, all the coolant pipes seem to have kinks etc where they are out of their orginal moulded shape. is there a way of re moulding them? like leaving them in boiling water then fitting them while there all soft, then they should take to that shape?

    cheers :D

well, if fittede right they shouldent need to change shape.. the rads in the same place as it would be on a runner so take em all off and refit\..

remember with the rad, theres a thick an thin pipe on each side top an bottom right, whatever side is to the top of the engine has to feed the top pipe on the bottle and vica versa.. whip the thermostat out the head aswell. this is deffo why the bike overheated ;)

yeah i was deffinately going to take the thermostat out as its rattling about inside the head so i gathered it wasnt doing to much good.

    cheers for the help :D

well it looks like i cant get the thermostat out :( the screws to take the coolant duct thing of the water jacket are rounded off

is there a way of making sure that the thermostat is working? before i put it all back together?

like if i put the waterjacket in a bowl of boilot water or someting?

    cheers

bend the edges of the thermo in the open space then rotate and it will come out... im guessing its a metal jacket tho in wich case you want to saw into the screw heads acros the jacket and unscrew..

ok cheers. i just cut through the water jacket and removed the screws + thermostat so thats all good now. got some new screws for it aswell.new full top end gasket set coming tomoro or satuday. new malossi head tonite or tomoro, and ill give my coolant system an overhaul tomoro so its ready for the new head. so i should be back on the road soon. also ive sourced a spare runner 125 loom so i can completely re-wire it aswell, so all in all im a happy bunny :D

    cheers for the help guys.
