My 08 st125 only came with 1 key, can i get a new one cut at a normal key cutters?? I was told that it had an immoiliser? The key fob is chunky??? Does the key has some sort of chip in it?? If not does anyone know how much and where to get a spare cut?? Thanks
Go back to the shop you got it from and tell them you only got one key, suposed to key atleast 2 sets of keys when you get a new ped.
it was 9 months old so it came as it was. no instruction book either but i've figured out most the flashing lights and switchy things. Does anyone know where i might d/load a pdf manual from?? Also where is cheapest to get key from & can it be done at a general key cutters??
You need a proper key for it or the immobilser won't work. The code changes every time you insert the key in the lock. You should have red and blue keys. The blue one is the "everyday" one, and the red one is used to program new blue ones. Without the red one it will be very difficult to get another key set up for your bike.
i've got the red one thankfully i just want to get a spare if i just get a cheap key cut will it start the scooter or will the immobiliser stop it?
I would go back to the gilera dealer and ask them to give you a new key. if you just get a key cut it will not start it, as theres a little chip inside the key fob.
hello mate, i also got a 58 plate runner st125. I have two keys that came with it, both red however one is a gilera logo key (everyday key) and the other is a triangular key (also red but is the master key) If your key is red and the rubber is shaped like a gilera logo im affraid its the everyday key and u need to somehow get a master key....
The one i have is red and a really awkward chunky triangular shape, and it looks quite flimsy (like if i drop it, it will break) So i've ordered the every day key from the stealers - they said it was not very expensive but lets see. How much should i be paying for the proper spare?
