copied from a diffrent forum i go on couldnt be bothered to write it all out again bought this runner on saturday in bits with the water pump gone and a screen cracked and not knowing if a few bits and bobs was missing. So today my friend stripped it and checked it all over and its all good , also came with malossi belt.and the reeds have had something done to them , the metal bits have been bent out more or something. turns out that its missing 2 lenses, oil cable was cut the top of carb damaged and exhaust looked abit scruffy, also turns out that whoever had it before me had stripped it to change bearings and left a bolt out next to waterpump when putting cases back together so that was the leak.So i got a runner 125 for £150 needing oil cable 2 lenses and a top of carb. i also fixed my screen as a temporary mesure just needs a polish now how it started halfway through engine finished built it up today and got a few pics of my mates runners also, was a bit dark , only need a set of lenses for the front and 1 left rear lense now ,and then its paint time plans are 180 bore kit =got pm55 replica exhaust = got paint pannels black new screen convert to disc one day few other bits
that means that a friend of mine got his pm 55 copied it and made me a exhaust that does exactly the same as a pm pipe does.
yes everythin was the same apart from it sat a slightly higher angle than the pm i have a genuine pm55 now but i will get a pic of the home made one , it does everything the same it even cracked in the same place a pm would
got a pic of it off my bike , i gave the exhaust to my mate so soon as he fits it i will get a picture of it next to my bike and can compare them with genuine 55 home made the exhaust even has the thing so you canbolt a pm strap to it .
like i said he copied the pm and did some drawins to make the template and then he made it , i was selling that homemade for £10 but ended up with my mate having it
well he made templates of the cones using paper then cut all the metal to shape of the templates he rolled it using mole grips and a few other choice tools and then welded it up
yeah same, i wish they still produced them so all the old ones wouldnt be so bloody overpriced :banghead:
