Hi all I was going to remove this filter to help keep the temperature down inside the cover by the varitaor/belt/clutch but was advised its best...
is the drive belt worn out? i know the 4 stroke is not a fast motor but i would expect 50 mph or so out of it. a 50cc unrestricted can manage that.

I would suggest a slightly smaller main jet or try lowering your throttle needle bud
