no way of testing cdi is there?
bought new CDI, worked for 20 mins, then lost spark completely. what are the odds of a faulty new cdi?
yep, lost spark now, ran few multimeter tests, coil ok, power into cdi, no power out. only cdi i can find is a second hand one on evilbay for £40+...
hiya thanks guys,already tried the easy start down the carb, and played around with the filter. no difference, good vacuum, plug is soaking too......
okies, gonna get some jets but can't see any numbers other than 60 on main jet. don;t know what pilot jet to try or wether i need a 5mm or 6mm for...
no, new fuel & oil put in. will pick up new woodruff key today and go from there. once i get spark back i think it needs the main jet...
bike is odd, one day ran at 1/4 throttle. then had to have full throttle but never got it to rev more than 1000 -2000 at a guess
yeah, check floats and played about, got it a barely ticking over at full throttle. all jets clear.
yeah, my dumb fault for doing it at silly o clock after a run of night shifts, i have tomorrow off so will get some decent sleep in the morning...
ah, just took alternator off and discovered a mangled woodruff key. pick up new one tomorrow and hope that will sort out the spark......

No, we bought it from bloke who said it needed a battery only, bought one but it hasn't run properly. looked like he had been wheel spinnng it in...
okies, tried a new alternator, no difference. what about jet sizes - worth a go? if so - up or down?
