What wiring were you working on? If you have fuel, spark & comperession there shouldn't be a problem starting. If it was running before you worked...

I think I've found out the cause, the part that controls the oil feed into the fuel is seized open.........Might explain why it smokes well. ;)

Maybe, it's a bit spluttery on low throttle, feels like the carb needs tweaking.
I would of said there was a masiive amount, the base ofthe sponge was a bit soaked.

Yup, they're quite small. The TGB is £999 on the road, not sure how much the Sym was when it was new. :sarc:
