Had a look today and doesnt seem to be a tab, the needle sits on a plastic lug on the float
Sounds good, will give that a try in the morning, thanks Steve
How do you do that Steve? Only just sort of possibly maybe got my head around jetting
Yeah still the standard 17.5mm one. Im guessing with the 70kit on it i should be around 20-21mm?
***UPDATE*** After some work over the weekend i have now managed to hit 60mph with the original exhaust fitter (still with restricted pipe) ehich...
Im just doing similar. I started on a 80 jet and worked down, found a 76 workes pretty well. 70 kit mallossi Leo vince exhaust and carbon reeds
Got 5g in at the moment would you go heavier or lighter? Also got 2 polini prelod springs for the clutch plate
Would it now be down to rollers, belt and springs?
Its running, had to drop to a 76 jet but only getting 22mph
Thanks will give it a go. Just trying to get it to fire up now lol
Makes sense Just put 80jet in so is it just a case of all the way in and 1.5 whole turns out with the screw then just tweek till it sounds smoothish?
Closest to the airbox. What idle should i be at to set it?
Ok will give that a go. When i have adjusted the mixture i have been putting idle to 3k then adjusting till the revs pick up (generally hit 5k)...
What would you recomend? Im currently on an 68 jet and have sports exhaust fitted as well (standard 17.5mm carb)
no worries, yeah the damn things giving me such a headache just want it running
was 50 but now 70
not a clue its a 2010 runner
It did it when it had a 50 block on and now got a mallossi 70kit on still does it but no valves to hit also turned over by hand when fitting 70kit...
At high revs 7k it seems to misfire and stutter a lot almost bouncing between 7 and 8k but no more acceleration and loses power. any ideas?
not really it seemed to run the same if not slightly worse. do the ecu's have a built in limiter in them?
