That breather hole needs covering. it's used as a vacuum basically but if its not sealed then its sucking in too much air.

With the 55mm crank your bike would be a 183, use a 1.5mm base plate and drop the ports 3mm and it will be fine.
Just bear in mind this may take a little off your top speed.
