Some of the scoots had longer engine cases to accomodate larger wheels. The long belts are for those. Short belts are for short case engine :)
fit new top end. pray that crank and mains werent damaged. dont run out of 2 stroke again. sorted.

Sounds like you have hit the nil on the head.remove flywheel, verify that key is broken. replace. enjoy
