OEM pads can be as good as the original at about half the cost. just dont buy the stupidly low priced oned on fleabay..
check your voltages, before and after starting. should be about 12v before, then 14+v when running. if this is the case, chances are your battery...

sounds simple, could be a sticking float in the carb, poss not allowing the fuel into the bowl correctly. as the engine wants more fuel it...
