if its the minarelli engine out of a old sr yes if its the morini , or piaggio engine then no has the mounts are in completely different places

yeah me too mate hopefully be done by next weekend , yeah they sent me the wrong piston rings they were about 2mm too big and were cheaply made...
yeah should be good when done mate , mine needs a new piston and gasket set mate :( should have it done next week then got to put it all back...

make sure u get the old fuel out first , and clean the carb before you put the fresh in as its been stood a while
cant really tell you without riding it my self , maybe you could do a video , want to hear what she sounds like with that carb and filter on anyway :p
as for the pulling away issue maybe its time for new rollers and belt or the clutch maybe worn

same here mate id rather strip and rebuild a top end than piss about with carbs lol
carbs can be a nightmare to set up pal , but you are not that far off now as it runs when you get it going , if its a biscuit white color you are...
good mate , and what is the clip on the needle slide set at ? should be in the middle , also have you checked what color the spark plug electrode...
bit pointless messing with carb settings if it ran ok before the piston went , if it was me personally id take the carb off and strip it down and...
keep trying mate if its starting with starting fluid and not on its own it may not be getting enough fuel
