If you can do a compression test. I spent hours chasing identical gremlins, changing coil, CDI, etc to find that my piston ring was fooked.
Put the airbox back on. You'll never get it in tune with an open filter. A sport pipe, vario and clutch does not constitute highly tuned.

I found even the strongest springs in the Polini set were insufficient. I opted for a Stage6 MKII clutch in the end.

I agree with tErr0, mine did exactly that when the carb was gummed up.
