The speed of the bell is governed by the speed of the engine.
As the engine revs it spins...
Have you got 3 or 4 loose wires going to nowhere?
Looks like someone may have either moved them or cut them off????
Should be a four pin plug near the steering tube
Should be the same as the Yamaha Neos

I have a service manual for the GY6 50cc scooters, it may be of help to you. It does contain wiring diagrams...

Get yourself down to halfords and grab the manual for the chinese scooters, it'll have the wiring diagrams in there and tell...
If it's a cheap chinese carb then replace it. They're like £20 new
An even better help would be the year, make and model of the bike........
What are you looking to achieve?
Some scoots do that, most annoying.
Move the clip on the carb slide needle down so it lifts the needle out of the jet slightly, allows more fuel...

Quite right, but a 10mm difference in width is HUGE.........ask any woman:D.......and as for belts.......
Shimming the variator wouldn't help in...
It's a yamaha, local dealer may not stock the parts but should be able to source them for you.
But it is nearly 20 years old, and definately out...
2400 miles and you've replaced the belt??
That doesn't seem right.
Can you hear the radiator fan come on?
If not then look for it, run the bike at a standstill, if it starts to overheat and the fan does not kick...
