This was quite a while ago now. I put the plate back into the pipe just before the carb and it ran much better. 58 was the correct jet size.
Sounds like an earth problem to me. Check the earths for any splits in the wiring and clean them up.

haveyou tried hammering in a screwdriver? the screw is pretty weak and you should be able to make a new print with only a few hits of the hammer.
It will probably do around 37. But it will still be awful uphills, and will still lack any kind of power. All 4T 50cc's are like that.
yes you do. You will need to find out what carb the bike has to find out the jets that you will need.
You can get them, but there isnt much point. After all those modifications you will still only see around 42mph.

Aslong as youre not doing high speeds then it will be fine.
As has been said already. You will see better results from a tuned 50, than you would a tuned 100. Parts for 50's are much easier to find aswell.
