as far as i can see having read up on the subject it seems that the only restrictors on the 2000 model was the exhaust, and if that has been changed for a sports exhaust you should jet to around 84/86 for best results with the pipe, another suggestion was to change the 12mm flatside dellorto for a 21mm carb and jet that to suit, but the manifold and reedblock/reeds should be changed along with it, hope this helps

thanx for replying am hopeing to change the carb and up jet it. as for the manifold am having trouble finding one
as the factory manifold there are two pipes coming of it.one to the water pump and the other to the head of the piston but when i try and look for one i seem to fined ones without the connectors on it .

iv also fined out that the sprocket could be restricted ?? dont know if this is true
but anyways thanx for your help

by saying that the sprockets could be restricted they would be talking about the gearing ratio- i.e the tooth size of the front and rear sprockets, these being changed can change the characteristics of the engine but i wouldnt know what to recommend unfortunately, maybe read up on the subject and see what others have tried and how it worked out for them?

The restrictor is the inlet manifold and the carb, both are way too small. You need to find a derestricted manifold and a 21mm :)

Or...... swap it for my aerox ;)

Doppler Pipe with Gianelli carbon silencer, new cylinder with port work on the exhaust port, 17.5mm carb, Topracing Variator with Stage6 rollers and an adjustable pmtuning clutch.

The speedo goes round to about 68-70mph so i guess thats a true 55-60. It gets there pretty quick too.

Im not sure tbh, youre gonna have to take yours off and see. I wouldve thought it would be an m6.

Been wanting an rs50 for a while, if you ever want to swap or sell it let me know.

ask an aprilia dealer what you need. Are you sure the pipe is a sports pipe or has it simply had an aftermarlet end can fitted? its the exhaust chamber thats restricting.

the rs 50 will be pretty nippy when sorted so id keep at it if you like it
