are piaggio 4t CDI units restricted?

i have a piaggio zip 4t 50cc and it does 60kmh , some guy said the CDI is restricted?? is this true? and how do i derestrict it?

Yes they are. To derestrict you have to saw through the side of the CDI.

I did it on my old zip and it was much faster.

It was detailed in a PDF document somewhere.

No it won't if you do it right.
And I'm not sure. Sold the ped about 2 years ago but I do recall it being faster.
